Inclusive leadership and employee work engagement: a moderated mediation model

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between inclusive leadership and employee work engagement by identifying person-job fit as a mediator, felt responsibility moderator. Design/methodology/approach Employing two-wave survey from 261 employees across various industries in China, study tests hypotheses using hierarchical regression analysis with PROCESS procedure developed Hayes. Findings results show that positively related through fit. further demonstrate employees’ moderates positive direct well indirect via Research limitations/implications Although data were used test model, issues common method bias cannot be excluded because collected single source (the employee). Practical implications Organizations should promote develop leaders workplace enhance engagement, pay attention employees' for their ensure effectiveness leadership. Originality/value Integrating social information processing theory person-environment theory, enriches theoretical foundation scholarship.
